The Center for Thriving Leaders at Grace Theological Seminary, and local non-profit organization Lost Sparrows invite you to join us for Renewing Your Mind: A Conference on Student Mental Health, a one-day event designed to equip educators, ministry leaders, counselors, and caregivers to better understand and support today’s students.
94% of Gen Z (1997 - 2012) are struggling with mental health challenges, while less than 60% feel supported emotionally. This conference will explore practical and faith-informed approaches to addressing the growing mental health challenges facing students today. Participants will gain insight into current trends affecting Gen Z, along with tools for meaningful connection, care, and support within educational, ministry, and counseling contexts.
Join us as we explore how to connect with and better support today’s students!Dr. Deb McEvoy, PsyD, LMHC: Deb oversees Grace’s Health and Counseling Services (GHCS). GHCS engages current students at Grace College who are struggling physically or mentally in ways that impact their ability to belong, behold, and become in community. Deb also teaches in Grace’s Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Master of Higher Education programs. Deb has a doctorate in clinical psychology from Adler University, a Masters in Counseling and a BA in Elementary Education both from Grace College. In her free time, Deb loves time spent with family and friends: at the beach, enjoying a cup of coffee, experiencing a fun new restaurant, or cheering on her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.
